Welcome to The Book Addicts Book Group!

If you have come this far then you are probably a certified book addict looking for a support group to help you with your addiction. Well you have come to the right place, but don’t worry we won’t try to cure you of your Book Addiction, we will only encourage you to read more books!  The Book Addicts Book Group is a new kind of book group.  It’s an online book group where the doors are always open and there is always someone there for you to talk about books with, day or night because we have members all over the world, in all time zones! We designed it to be flexible and fit around your busy lives. If you’ve always liked the idea of joining a book group but worried that you wouldn’t have time, then this group is perfect for you.

About the Book Group

This is a site for Book Addicts. If you don’t love books and reading then we will try to change your mind, otherwise you wont have much to talk about here! We love all kinds of books and love to talk about them. We run monthly book group discussions with a host and sometimes even a guest author, where you can talk about books in-depth.  We run a number of interesting reading challenges throughout the year, from simply reading 52 Books in 52 Weeks, to the more challenging Around the World in 80 Books!  If you don’t have time for a monthly discussion, or you don’t like the book on offer, why not advertise for a Book Buddy and start your own mini Book Buddy group!  We also spend a lot of time generally talking about other books, new books, old books, favourite books. We love genre fiction, especially fantasy, crime, urban fantasy romance, and science fiction, but it doesn’t stop there!  We also read contemporary fiction, historical fiction, non-fiction, biography, classics, Richard & Judy selections, children’s and young adult fiction and well just about anything else.  I’m sure you get the idea lol. About Me

I am a qualified Librarian and Bookseller, and I also hold Publishing and Marketing diplomas and a bunch of Sales Certificates. I am currently working on a second degree in English Literature and Creative Writing in my spare time. I have been lucky enough to work in libraries and for library suppliers and publishers all over the world. From as far back as I can remember I have always loved books and reading and always wanted to be a librarian.
